The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) has issued an order establishing standard T-8s as the new baseline for all T-12 linear fluorescent retrofit projects, effective June 1, 2016.1 T-8s are more efficient than the current baseline technology, T-12s, which stopped being manufactured in 2012 in accordance with federal regulations.
