February 28, 2020 – CONNECTOR SERIES: TRICIA MARTS OF VICINITY ENERGY

SEI is promoting this event that is Presented by Select Greater Philadelphia Council

Have you ever heard of “District Energy?” Me neither. And that’s why you’ll want to join us for our next session of The Connector Series, Select Greater Philadelphia’s program to enhance connections among our investors and partners, and academic, business and civic leaders who are helping to grow the economic vibrancy of our collective community. This is an exclusive gathering that provides an engaging conversation around a project or initiative, and allows us to explore what works well and ways that we as a community can improve how we do business.

In this session, we will hear from Tricia Marts of Vicinity Energy, a newly branded company with 13 district energy systems in 10 major metropolitan U.S. cities. As the largest district energy provider in North America, Vicinity’s district energy business in Philadelphia has been operating in the city for decades, providing energy solutions for scores of buildings and businesses. The district energy business in Philadelphia is comprised of steam, hot and chilled water, and electricity production plants, including co-generation – a highly efficient and sustainable form of energy production pioneered by Thomas Edison.
