The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released a Resilient Building Codes Toolkit to provide information to practitioners, elected officials, authorities having jurisdiction, the general public, and the building and construction sector on the aspects of resilience captured in provisions of modern building codes. The toolkit highlights the shifting building codes landscape from strictly a life safety focus to increased incorporation of both resilience and sustainability and also highlights the resilience measures captured throughout the International Code Council’s International Codes.

Infrastructure Act
The White House has released its Guidebook on the Bipartisan Infrastructure, Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). This guidebook is a roadmap to funding available under the law, as well as an explanatory document that shows, in as much detail as currently available, program-by-program information.

PA Department of Environmental Protection’s Energy Programs Office has several open postings for employment as Energy Program Specialists. These are new positions that we are funding with our anticipated Infrastructure and Jobs Act funds to support our State Energy Program and the implementation of programs prescribed by IIJA. Each position is unique, but all will focus on aspects of energy security and resiliency. Please see the postings at:
