Michael Cromer, PG, DBIA, ENV SP, Vice President – Energy & Sustainability – Pennoni

Mr. Cromer serves as the Vice President of Energy & Sustainability at Pennoni.  He leads the company’s energy services sector as well as corporate wide sustainability and resiliency efforts. Mr. Cromer has spearheaded the development of energy efficiency, energy management, distributed generation and alternative fuel business models providing diversification and additional revenue streams for Pennoni. His diverse experience includes an environmental engineering background focused on land development, zoning approvals, brownfield remediation, air permitting and waste management.  Mr. Cromer also has extensive experience in turnkey Design-Build delivery of alternative energy projects such as micro-grids, solar farms and combined heat and power projects.  The combination of his engineering background, project development skills and construction experience allow for seamless project execution and efficiencies.

Mr. Cromer earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology and a Master’s Degree in Hydrology. He is a licensed Professional Geologist in Pennsylvania and Delaware.  Michael holds a national Design Build certification and received his ENV SP certification for sustainable design.  Mr. Cromer volunteers his time to several boards and associations across the mid-Atlantic including the NJ Energy Coalition, Chester County Economic Development Council, Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Philadelphia Energy Action Team.

Liz McCormick, Sr. Director, Energy Services – Pennoni

Liz serves as the Sr. Director of Energy Services for Pennoni’s MEP/Energy Division. Liz has over 20 years of Fortune 500 Major Account Management experience, she specializes in key account management, overall account strategy and coordination of resources and solutions to meet each customer’s unique goals and objectives.  Prior to joining Pennoni, Liz has worked as an Energy consultant and was co-founder of Utilities Watch, a global energy consulting company that utilized cloud-based energy analytics software and expert analysis to assist clients in choosing the best utility contract, manage energy demand costs and reduce overall energy spend.

Liz utilizes her industry experience and sales background to connect clients with opportunities and technologies to increase energy efficiency, reduce energy-related costs, and manage green-house gas emissions and renewable energy objectives.  Liz is a member of BOMA, Greater Philadelphia Energy Action Team and Green Building United.

Gregory P. Fink, CHFM, CLSS-HC, Director Facilities Operations and Maintenance and Facilities, Director of Infrastructure and Energy – Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center

Greg has extensive experience and knowledge in the Operations and Maintenance of District Energy Plants, including steam, chilled water and power generation.  His experience, includes; Plant Operations and Maintenance Management, development and implementation of Plant/Building Automation Systems, analysis and improvements in steam/chilled water distribution systems, operation and maintenance of utility infrastructure, implementing energy setback strategies, capital planning for infrastructure renewal, and Utility Master planning.  Greg was a part the Project Management team during design, construction and commissioning of the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center CHP Plant, as well as serving as the Utility Plant Manager during its first years of operation.

Greg is a veteran of the United States Navy.  His education and experience are in Propulsion Plant Engineering, Electrical Power Generation, Automated Controls and Steam System Technologies.  He has more than 35 years’ experience working in the field of plant operations and maintenance.

Kevin L Kanoff, CEM, CEP, Campus Energy Engineer – Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center

Kevin has extensive experience and knowledge in, evaluating existing systems and retrofitting energy conservation measures to functioning building and process systems. His experiences, includes; data collection, energy data analysis, energy conservation measure project development, energy conservation measure construction management, measurement and verification of energy conservation measures, development of annual Energy Reports for Senior Management, and developing energy master plans. The Energy Savings Program he has implemented at PennState Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center has resulted in significant energy savings and energy intensity reduction.

In addition, he is on the Utility budget development team and energy procurement team for PennState Health.

Kevin has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Idaho and has worked in the field of engineering for 30 years, specializing in the building energy field for the last 20 years.
